Roof Walk is a unique experience that showcases Tampere from a new perspective for both tourists and locals. A unique route on top of the city include stunning sights and historical stories. The only rooftop walkway in Finland is built on the roofs of the historical buildings in the Finlayson area. It offers magnificent views and a touch of history.

Roof Walk is a unique experience that showcases Tampere from a new perspective for both tourists and locals. A unique route on top of the city include stunning sights and historical stories. The only rooftop walkway in Finland is built on the roofs of the historical buildings in the Finlayson area. It offers magnificent views and a touch of history.

ROOF WALK CITY VIEW
On the City View route the participants will travel as one group with a guide, and they’re attached to a safety harness that connects to a wire. You’ll experience the city from an all-new point of view, starting from the iconic Tammerkoski rapid view, heading towards the central squares. As you admire the view, you’ll hear historical and surprising stories about Tampere.
For safety reasons the maximum group size is 6 people. The overall duration is approximately 60 minutes.
As the route goes on a path with no handrails, each participant will wear a safety harness that connects to a safety wire. For this reason we do not recommend the participants to wear skirts or dresses. When choosing your shoes, please note that the route is partially steel grates and there are stairs along the way.

ARRIVING TO ROOF WALK
- The Roof Walks are located in the Finlayson Area in the Media 54 building. Follow the guides from Siperia commercial centre or from the entrances of the Media 54 building.
- The Finlayson area is most easily accessed by public transport. The closest bus stops are at Satakunnankatu, and the central square stops are only a few minutes away on foot. Arrival by Tampere public transport: reittiopas.tampere.fi
- There’s plenty of room for bikes in the bike parks, for example Itäinenkatu
- Parking garage Finnpark Plevna is also in the area, and roadside parking can be found on Finlaysoninkatu and Puuvillatehtaankatu.
